Operations & finance platform

A five-branch distribution and installation business, each branch running its own QuickBooks company. I built one PostgreSQL database that syncs all five (7M+ accounting rows) alongside everything staff enter, then the business applications, dashboards and AI assistant on top of it.

Group profit & loss

Every branch side by side, then income by month against the three prior years. The current month is projected to month-end from working days elapsed.

Customers by year

Spend per customer for the period and the year before, with the change. Customers are keyed to a permanent account, so renames and merges in QuickBooks don’t split their history.

Customers by month

The same customers across twelve months, showing who buys steadily, who is seasonal and who has gone quiet. Totals reconcile to the QuickBooks sales report to the cent.

AI assistant

Questions in plain English. It writes a query against the financial tables, runs it, and answers with the result table underneath, so every figure can be checked.

Job cards

A five-step form for repair and warranty call-outs (job, client, diagnosis, repair, billing) with photos attached. Replaced paper; the data lands in the database as the technician works.

Staff home

What branch staff see when they log in: today’s customer follow-ups, tasks and calls. Same database, framed for a different job.
